Escape Pod

For those of us that like science fiction, check out Stephen Eley's Escape pod. short science fiction, well produced, with almost always great stories. Eley's site has kept me entertained for quite a long time, and he turned me onto something zombie-related! this may be old hat, but check out tales of the zombie war, located at:
http://talesofworldwarz.com/stories/
regrettably it is not a podcast, but what i have read so far will keep me going back for more.
Ah, and Eley's site is:
Enjoy!

That scene with Gene Wilder and Marty Feldman is still one of the funniest things Ever.

I forgot my favorite part of Brother D's show: he rates the movies on a
1-5 "headshot" scale.
Nice.

I for one love the idea of using slingshots. Lite-weight and small, ammo can be just about anything lying about, they do not take he-man strangth to use, and are fairly easy to master. But...... I have always wondered just how usefull one would be. Sure, they are great for wholloping on small rodents, birds, and annoying neighbors pets, but can they deliver enough punch to penetrate a skull? I have yet to get a volunteer to let me experiment, anyone have some insight?
Now if we wanted to modify one and get us some sharpened sticks, here is an interesting idea:
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/775557/hack_a_sling_shot/ part sling-shot, part spear gun. on the coolness factor, i give it an A+. Still i wonder if a headshot kill is possible.

Mail Order Zombie

This is my second favorite zombie-related podcast. Brother D (and occasionally his wife) review zombie DVD's. It is a faily new podcast, only 9 of them out there, but it is usually a good half hour listening.
check him out at:

Enjoy!
