Another great review for my Lost in the Dark collection: "I love horror stories. I was not disappointed with this collection. There is an undercurrent of malevolent evil that stalks the well rounded characters in each story. I couldn't put the book down
once I started reading as the relentless action takes you into a current of dred and you find yourself pulling for the characters and hoping they will find the strength to survive. These stories are not for the reader who is afraid of the dark and you may have trouble sleeping after reading this tour de force of horror from a fresh author. Watch out Stephen King."

Got some great reviews for Lost in the Dark. And my banner came today. Aren't graphic designer friends the best?

"I must admit, I do not have high expectations when I read a new author, but Joe Mynhardt's 'Lost in The Dark' exceeded my expectations. I was suprised with the diversity of his stories. The book itself was a nice balance of intriguing stories which is kind of rare in short story compilations nowadays. I look forward to following Joe's career and patiently waiting for new stories."

"I find that with this genre, I actually prefer short stories in a larger collection. Joe Mynhardt does a great job of getting right to the point, freaking us out, and then moving on. There is nothing wrong with horror novels, but it's hard, at least for me, to actively engage in disturbing content for hundreds of pages. Lost in the Dark is great for people like me. I can engage, get my chills, and then go on to the next story, which I can either read right away or even days later without feeling any loss in continuity.
The stories are fast-moving, freaky, and concise. The characters are also interesting, which is hard to pull-off with episodic content. All in all, if you like horror, this is a solid purchase, and definitely worth the price of admission."
