Please forgive my ignorance, but...there's a collection, better put...a compilation of zombie themed songs? As for Zombie Fest 2008, please tell me more? What could beat a room full of zombie fans? Ummm...maybe a hord of zombies outside the convention center trying to EAT the zombie fans? Yup, that outa do it.

"There's two (2) types of guys in our world." "The guys who like to go to the pub, drink, and talk about the ball game (which I do occasionally), then there's the guys who'd rather relax in their home library with a book." "A book about a bunch of guys drinking at a pub, chattering about a ball game...and then...all of a sudden...a hord of infected zombies comes plowing through the front window and eats their brains. Guess which one I am?"

Re: David Wellingtons' "Monster" series...

David Wellingtons' "Monster" series is entertaining, thought provoking, and addictive. For the first time (that I'm aware of), the reader was able to view the world through the eyes, errr...carcus of a zombie.
Personally, I'm not one for fantasy. I prefer a realistic approach to the zombie genre. The more plausable the virus, the more believable the work I'm reading.
Mr. Wellington removed the probablility factor from the possible scenarios that could potentially establish a real-life, almost dead, cannibalistic, violent human virus. This was a let-down for me, but I couldn't put-down any one of the trilogy.
The fantasy plot, the magic, and the far fetched returners (geeze, as if zombies aren't far fetched...right?) are the reason I can't consider these works as "the best" in my novel zombie collection...but they're a must have nonetheless!

"CYJJ," wasn't my intended post. I had given a detailed opinion of the Monster series by Mr. David Wellington. At some point I deleted it and entered a four stroke jib...opps. Do forgive!
Will repost this another time.
Re: Rank Zombie Movies (get it? Rank?)
August 9, 2008 by secretcog
Fantastic post! This makes me wonder if there IS such a thing as a "coincidence!" Over the past year I've been toying with the idea of building a zombie movie collection. I've picked up a few of the better known titles, but have opted to stick to the "spines 'n' jackets."
I had just recently been researching online zombie collections (i.e. http://www.library.fau.edu/npb/zombie.htm is a good one). Now I've found myself left wanting...
Does anyone know of an thorough, complete, and currently updated zombie film and book data base? I'm looking for the "mother" of all data bases!
"Day By Day Armageddon" by JL Bourne Part II...
August 6, 2008 by secretcog
The subject is pretty much self explanatory. Does anyone know when the sequel to JL Bournes "Day By Day Armageddon" is due for release?
On that note, Does anyone know when the next "Morningstar Strain" installment is becoming available? Hoping there is a part III to this one!
Quick background. I'm an info-junky with an addiction to zombie novels, and theological physics. Zombie movies are cool, video games are alright...but not my thing, toys are...toys, but zombie books!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm so addicted to the works in zombie lore, that when I'm out of reads I wonder around aimlessly sweating, pale, and shaking like a crackhead! Errr...it could also be from chain smoking and drinking four pots of coffee a day. Regardless...what's the rumintel?
