What the heck! Okay, so my department consists of me, one full-time person, 1 part-time, 1 alumni person, 1 foundation person, and 1 director. On of the full-time people left so we were short-handed. We hired a new part-timer and restructured the job description but that person lasted less than 2 months (left for a full-time job elsewhere) so now we're short-handed again. Spoke with the boss and...they are keeping me full-time, moving me over and restructuring the job again, and hiring two part-timers to do my job. I get to write press releases and other marketing things so it is a writing gig! I'll be getting a raise and perhaps different hours. My boss is supposed to announce it to the other folks on the 12th. Woohoo!!!  Today I wrote a press release and it was super fun.

Woohoo!!!  I've had 2 glasses o' peach spumanti (mmmmm!) tonight as an early celebration. grin  It is so difficult to be sneaky at work about this.  I've been cleaning out my supplies that I purchased myself and decorations, etc under the guise that my desk is moving before November, so I want to get a jump-start on packing. LOL Suckers!!!

I sense portents in the wind. Fripperies twist and dance! What shallit be? What eldritch delight? Anyway, I've been busting my rear on the building I'm putting up.

The building awaits its concrete floor. Good progress, but the winds of winter shall soon howl like zack deprived of cookies. As for frippery, i can only imagine it improves with moisture!

I posted months ago about having trouble with finances and finding suitable employment. I've been hired for a few months, but just went from temp to perm about a month ago. It's not easy livin', but it's a lot better than it was before. Now maybe I can stop worry about money (quite so much) and get on to things like more art work and writing.

Also, dropping back in here after a long time away has me thoroughly confused. Obviously I've missed some happenings.
