Over at the Permuted forum someone asked about a complete list of my works. Sadly such does not exist. I can tell you there have been MANY, MANY stories that have never been or are yet to be collected. A brief sample of such would include tales like-
Waking the Dead
Jonah and The Dead
Clean Sweep (with John Grover)
All Along the Watchtower (with C. G. Davis)
The Denaba Incident (with C. G. Davis)
The Tank
Nothing Left to Lose
Ground Zero
The Wranglers
The Wolf Boys
The Highway Man (with TBE)
In the Blood
Unstoppable
Dead Stop (the story that led to Dead West)
Last Light
Out of the Fire
Rogue Wolf
They
Bugs
Clean Ups (with C. G. Davis)
and it just goes on and on. Most of these have either appeared in anthos or mags.
Sorry there is no complete list or MASSIVE collection.

Captain Cold is great bad guy with wonderfully simple desires and a gray nature. Have you read the more recent Flash stuff with him like his origin/childhood issue about his abusive father and how he learned to love Cold in the first place? Not to mention him essentially flipping off Luthor and DARKSIED in Final Crisis?

Thanks Scareyworms! And yes, I imagine their would be a food fight though it certainly wouldn't be me that started it. As those of you who met me at Horror Realm know, I am rather quiet little guy.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Just saying this now in case I don't get the chance later.
Have a great one and thanks to God for letting us all be alive and chasing our dreams.

Guess I should shut up now. I have a galley to review for publication this morning and my son's thanksgiving show to attend. Not looking forward to the pity looks given my current health condition.

Needless to say my "Holy Grails" are the first Captain Cold, the first Zoom, FF # 5, the death of the Doom Patrol, the classic My Greatest Adventure Elasti-Girl cover, The Blue Ribbon Digest Doom Partol issue, The Adventure Digest issue with the Dream Girl cover, the first Adam Strange and Jonah Hex appearances, and above all The LEGION'S First appearance.
If anyone has some of those, I am than willing to do some MASSIVE trading. I always insure books I ship if that makes you feel better.

And the only real collections I have to speak of in terms of "runs" are the FF (about four and 1/2 long boxes), Legion stuff (2+ long boxes), my Doom stuff (Non-FF, 1 long box), and randon lesser stuff like all the Micronauts ever made, Alpha Flight, etc.
Most of my collection is jumble of various issues and titles from the 1960s through the NEW Doom Patrol set that started this year.
I had just started FLASH when the hard times hit again a while back. I only have like 150 Flash books and none worth more than $60. These days I am lucky and blessed to buy like 5 comics a month. It's SAD.

And unlike Doc, I only have like 4 or 5 books that are in the thousands of dollars value range and I would say I have less than 150 comics in the $150-$800+ range. : (

Alas, I haven't had a good comic book binge since I bought a ton of old Doom Patrol, the whole 1987 series minus the one issue I couldn't find, and the entire 3th and 4th series all at the same time about a year ago. I miss those days of having REAL money to spend. : (
I am however picking up the whole Specturm saga for Christmas this year from the issues I am missing the Sinetro War through Rage of the Red Lanterns and Agent Orange to the Blackest Night. Really can't wait to read those. : )

Some of my besrt books include Fantastic Four 7, 9, 10, 13, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 22, 23, etc. with various issues until 48, 49, 50, 51, and 52. I have EVERYTHING FF from like # 60 up through the end of this past spring. My wife was actually the one who picked up # 48 as a B-day gift for me a few years ago. Not much of a Surfer fan so I had been putting it off.
I also have stuff like Action Comics # 267, Adventure Comics # 300, Jonah Hex # 1 (first series), Weird War Tales # 1 and 2, Hawkman # 4, Justice League # 51, My Greatest Adventure # 85 (first Doom Patrol), The change over issue from Strange Tales to Doctor Strange # 169, the first appearance of Alpha Flight in the Uncanny X-men, Man-thing # 1, The first appearance of Howard the Duck in Adventures into Fear along with his own # 1, odd stuff like Nova The Human Rocket and Godzilla # 1 from the seventies, the first Hellblazer (JC) appearance in Swamp Thing, and all that's just off the top of my head without even going to the boxes (which are in storage there's so many but no where near Doc's level).
I also have a massive Dr. Doom collection ranging from stuff like his first solo tale in Marvel Superheroes to things like Astonishing Tales # 1 and some older Spiderman/X-men appearances of him. Even weird things like The Lands of Doom Box set from the old Marvel RPG and a bunch of toys and even 1970s/1980s(?) valentine day cards.
If it's FF or Legion though, I likely have it.

Anyone up for reading The Human Experiment (privately) and giving their thoughts on it BEFORE I turn it into to the editor/company?
Thanks,

Being sick has its advantages, one of which is catching up on some long overdue reading. There's a fellow good librarian in Creature Features with me who has an awesome story there. Just wanted to say congrats!

Re: And it gets worse for the ESB
November 23, 2009 by esbrown
Really, let's NOT start another discussion of that. One deleted thread is enough. We can all have our opinions. That's what's great about this country. Now anyway, who else is hooked up to an oxygen tank at the moment? Not fun, I assure you. : )
Re: And it gets worse for the ESB

I would rather have to pay than be told to do something. I want America to remain a FREE country not one where the government tells you have to get health care from them and there is no other option. I think EVERY troop and soldier who's died since the Revoltutionary War all the through the Gulf War of the 90s would cry and be hurt beyond measure if you reanimated them and asked them how they felt about America sliding towards Socialism. NOT trying to start an arguement here just giving my two cents. And gee thanks Fred, for dragging me into that again. : )
However I do believe we NEED reform but it needs to be kept in the private sector.
Later all,

And for the record, I WON'T be making a post like that anywhere else. I just did here because this forum is such a close knit place and really feels like home. Hope that makes sense. It's kind of like the bar in CHEERS only zombified. : )
