Cindy and I just went to see an advance screening of The Box, and I have to say that I hope that the short story by Richard Matheson entitled Button Button, which this film is based on, made more sense than the film did. I think I'm more confused now than I was half way through the movie. Anyway, here are a couple trailers that played before the movie that looked good.

I'm a huge Richard Matheson fan, but I'm not familiar with Button Button. I imagine his short story made sense, but who knows. Sometimes when a short story is turned into a full length film it is stretched and turned into something the author wouldn't even recognize.
Well, I watched the trailor for The Crazies and I think it is a re-make. I'm the biggest Debbie-downer when it comes to re-makes, but this looks really good...assuming it is, in fact, a re-make. Romero's Crazies was alright, but could have been better.
And I love the song, the Tears for Fears cover. It was really popular here in San Diego when Donnie Darko came out.
Book of Eli - looks like the Hughes brothers played a lot of Fallout 3!

The Crazies don't seem much like the film I remember but it was yonks ago.
Maybe they should've gone the "inspired by" route rather than the stigma of "remake".
