Being the arrogant bastard that I am, I love my own turkey and dressing. Or chicken and dressing. Or pork and dressing, whatever meat you want to put in it.
I make the best effin' meat and dressing around. It's better than turkey, sweet potatoes, gravy, green beans with onions and bacon, and pumpkin pie all rolled in to one.
I make it year round, but nothing beats meat and dressing made with the broth that can be wrought with turkey giblets and various additions cooked all day while the turkey bakes underneath. It's heavenly! And it makes me feel funny in my pants just thinking about it for Thanksgiving...

It might be just a country philosophy but I only eat what I can catch. Wrestling animals out of sacks and boxes that been dead over a month ain't my thing. Family raises cattle, I've chased and been chased by them. Shot a bull point blank in the skull and still had the bastard chase me up a tree and keep me there for half an hour. Dragged 100lb intestines into the deep woods...possibly the last thing you want to have in your possession while in cougar country... and spent 5 straight hours dissecting the heffers into small enough parts to wrap and transport to a certified butcher. After all this I prefer to stick with fish and birds, at least, when I throw something at them they flee for their lives. Freaking Cows.
