I may be staring at a giant pile of student papers (like, around 100 pages of stuff do go through) but I will say that my students totally rock. out of 24, only 4 are not in the A/B range and their work does impress my fellow teachers and make me look all good and stuff.
Plus, I was observed today and despite me being way off my normal game and feeling like shit, the observer said if this was an off day I'm lucky because it looked really good to him.

It really isn't! (All bad news). Not only did I get offered loads more shifts at work (I think I'm making a good impression) but what did I find waiting for me when I returned home this evening?

Ha! I think this is funny. There's a commercial with a Buddy Holly song here in San Diego. Whenever it comes on my 7 & 1/2 month old son loses his shit. He loves it. No matter what he's doing, crying, bitching, playing, he directs his attenton to the TV when that commercial comes on.
He's getting a Buddy Holly CD for Christmas.

I wrote up some lyrics for Dr. Pus (the rest of the Dark Side of ther Tomb lyrics from above) and now I'm seeing music in a whole new light--well, a dark light.
I'm thinking about re-writing the complete lyrics for Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon album. I'm changing the song Money into Brains.
I just got an order for more jewelry so I'll be able to buy more of Doc's books. (specifically, The Black Act---I can't wait to get that one!)
My best mate asked me to be one of the godfathers to his little boy!!!!!!!!!!
The bad news is I can't find any proof of being Christened (in Australia) so I need to keep looking and/or call him to double-check if this matters, otherwise I'd be willing to get re-Christened in this
country (but if this is too much hassle, delays his son's Christening, I'll understand if he wants to withdraw the offer). It's a little daft that the church needs "proof" you've been Christened; I would have thought it wouldn't matter as long as that person agrees to do right by the kid (in the eyes of God, obviously).
