She already knows you're gay.  That is why she keeps pestering you. She may be even hurt that you're not confiding to her about your sexual orientation.  I think comments she makes are to get you to "fess up."

I think you should come out to her at HR and let her see that people adore you.  That gay isn't bad (only to dumbasses like you kow who) and that most people really don't care.  She needs to see positives about you and your sexuality and see people responding in a positive way.  You live in bumfuck nowhere right now and she's probably terrified you'll end up alone, poor, and getting beat up every day instead of seeing that you could move somewhere else, find a good partner, be successful, and have a great life.

I suspect she is equating "gay" to "miserable life" right now and needs to see otherwise.

You should use HR as a way to reach out to her and make her see she needs to not be accusing you, etc in front of you know who.  And let her see you're gonna be okay.

Otherwise, I fear its gonna blow up in a way you will have zero control over.

I think she's just afraid.  And her fear comes out as anger.  She's probably trying to figure out what she did wrong.

Once she sees how fabulous Kody is in his own element with decent, good people around him supporting him, I think she'll feel MUCH better.

also seeing him as he is completely accepted and loved with all of us will hopefully swing her around to understand that accepting what and who he is and just letting him be is the absolute best thing that could ever happen because trying to change something like that will never work and could end up costing her a healthy relationship with a wonderful son..

A friend of my daughter's came out to us (my wife and me) before he came out to his parents.  His life isn't perfect now that he has (she still keeps trying to find girls for him to date) and he blames his coming out for his parents getting a divorce (despite the overwhelming evidence that his father is just an idiot and his mother is batshit crazy), but he's much happier now that he's out in the open.  He doesn't feel like he has to hide.
