What is the best use of zombies as a theme in "professional" music. For me I'll start with the Anthrax song you can't kill what doesn't die (and accompanying video t hat took place in a mall) and Mortician's Zombie Apocalypse
Also, is it just me or does the lordi song Night of the loving dead sound like it encourages necrophilia.
Now beware the streets tonite
Lay low till the sunrise
The undead casanovas hunt for love
(You may)
Lock the doors, drop the blinds
Keep quiet and stay inside
But nothing helps when push comes to shove
Bequeth thy loving - My body's cold
I take you in my coffin where you can kiss my bones
On the Night of the loving dead
Love the un-living, no skins attached
On the Night of the loving dead
The Night of the loving dead
Dressing sharp, au naturel
Looking drop dead gorgeous
Sins of the rotten flesh for you to hold
My caress is terminal
'cause my touch is torture
There's no way in hell I'll let you go
Bequeth thy loving - My body's cold
I take you in my coffin where you can kiss my bones
On the Night of the loving dead
Love the un-living, no skins attached
On the Night of the loving dead
The Night of the loving dead
Six feet underground
If I had a heart you would make it pound
You make the dead come alive
[Solo]
On the Night of the loving dead
Love the un-living, no skins attached
On the Night of the loving dead
Love the un-living, no skins attached
On the Night of the loving dead
Love the un-living, no skins attached
On the Night of the loving dead
The Night of the loving dead
Deceased had an excellent concept album called "Fearless Undead Machines."
The Murderdolls ---- Dawn Of The Dead, She Was A Teenage Zombie
Wensday 13 --- I Walked With A Zombie, Return Of The Living Dead
Slayer --- Live Undead (song, not the live album)
The Undead --- Undead
Obituary --- Back From The Dead, Buried Alive (Venom cover)
Cannibal Corpse --- The Undead Will Feast, Necrosadistic Warning, Death Walking Terror
Mortician --- Darkest Day Of Horror (never cared much for these guys)
That's a few
The Bucky Burrito Band! Do a zearch......
I listen to MOrtician mostly to make fun of them "BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR" my imitation of deep gutteral voclas and ZOmbie Zak CAnnibal Corpse? I expected that canibalism was below you.
"Below me?" Oi. If it's meat, I'll eat it. I'm a meatatarian! It's more than just a choice, it's a commitment!
Remember... I will kill you... Killed by my rage.
Sorry, I meant the Bucky Burro Band - Zombie Dance!

Go there, listen to their song. I like it. But then, I am kooky....
So am I!
Maybe, I'm a bit old school but I love the Misfit's "AstroZombies"; also, not sure if it counts or not but "Now I'm Feeling Zombified" by Alien Sex Fiend also rocks. Other favorites include:
Hip Albatross by Gorillaz
Zombie Jamboree by Harry Belafonte (this song is just plain fun)
Eye of The Zombie - John Fogerty
They Are Night Zombies!! They Are Neighbors!! They Have Come Back From the Dead!!Ahhhh!
by Sufjan Stevens (and one of the greatest song titles of all time)
Zombie Dance - The Cramps
There's a Jeffery Lewis song called If You Shoot The Head You Kill The Ghoul, which is ACE. The Paper Chase album Now You Are One Of Us uses a lot of horror related samples, and while I don't think there's an actual 'zombie' song on it, there is an excellent vibe of being overwhelmed by something hideous running throughout the album. That's two for yous!
does The Kinks "Muswell Hillbilly" count?
'But they'll never make a zombie out of me'
(Southern Culture on the Skids does a lovely version of this)
"I Love the Dead" by Alice Cooper, although I guess necrophilia isn't quite zombies
He also had "Cold Ethyl" and "Dead Babies"
and Rob Zombie had "Living Dead Girl"
and Rob Zombie had "Living Dead Girl"

Uhm.... me, too.
The 90's industrial band BILE start their song I Reject with the line "I am THE LIVING DEAD!" if that counts
Lordi's music video for Hard Rock Hallelujah has a zombie theme:
Also gotta shout out to "Would You Love A Monsterman".
Anyone familiar with Lemon Demon? Here's an awesome zombie song they do:

Little shop of flamethrowers. Brilliant. These guys are too funny. Thanks for sharing this.
The Bronx have a song called 'Rape Zombie'. How's that for a future anthology title? :D
