Greetings my fellow librarians!

I was just curious, I have been following the podcast for the past two months. Today, I went into iTunes and tried to also sign up for Darker Projects: Zompod podcasts, and get an error downloading. Is there something I am doing wrong or is the server down for them.

Well first welcome to the forums... about the darker projects thing. I did not have a problem signing up, so I think the server might be screwy. Try again, the stories are cool.

If you go to www.darkerprojects.com you can listen to or download all three ZomPod episodes. My Itunes doesn't have 3 up yet either. 4 has already been sent. 5 & 6 are on their way.

And welcome to you Good Librarian Dragonliche!

Try again Dragonliche.
I've downloaded them all with no trouble. I'm using Downloadaccelerator if that makes any difference?

I must be doing something wrong then, they work fine from the darkerprojects site, but not on my iTunes, I will keep pluggin' away then. Maybe it's not working through iTunes directly, and have to add them from the site.

Hey, dragonliche - as mentioned elsewhere, first: Welcome to the Library.

Second, to help with your download blues, have you cranked either the security settings on your browser way up? Or tweaked any of the controls off? Specifically things like Active X and Java? Depending on the hows and ways, you might have turned off something that is interfering.

ActiveX and Java wouldn't interfere with iTunes... They'd be more likely to stop streaming from working, and he can listen to the streams online. There might be an update for iTunes that has come out that you've neglected... Otherwise you might have some antivirus garbage that's mucking about with your download privileges. That would explain why the download isn't going but the streaming online is. Try playing with some of the settings for any antivirus stuff you've got and see if you can add iTunes servers as an "allowed site." You might also want to check your router and modem settings. I know we had to monkey with mine and trick it to get my 360 online by calling it a computer and assigning it to a nonexistent port...

Just a few thoughts.

On another note, has anyone else had this issue downloading from iTunes? Or is this a one off error?
