Ok, this is a very un PC question, so if easily offended, stop reading now.... (Fred, you may have to delete me...)

Miked got me thinking with his goal of being so thin that Zak and his friends find him unappetizing. Well, here's my question, as Zombie's seem overly fond of brains, do they find a mentally challenged (see, I'm trying) person to be less appetizing?

We need a government grant to study this! If it's true, then the PC people will have to start a movement to convince zombies that the developmentally disabled are food too!

I'd be more than happy to volunteer my time and start up that movement.

They are lower caloried so I would say they would be for the health conscious undead

Well, all of humanity is what we would consider "walking snak packs" so technically, if they are all of interest to the heartily hungry zombie. The question you ask bears merit, but consider this:

Do the mentally challenge use less brain power? Or is it just that the brain power that they are using is just wired differently. My understanding is that they do not use any less brain power than a non-challenged person, it's just wired through different pathways which gives them the divergence reponse to situations that they are forced to live with.

Just my thoughts on the matter. I hunger now, so I go feed.

Wouldn't the brain be like a muscle; the more it's used, the stronger and presumably the tougher it would be. So, interlektuals would be less appetising but couchpotatoes would be scrummier?
Mentally challenged may fall in the middle ground lol.

Oh geez, then I'm in real trouble. I make an effort to use my brain as little as possible. I'm trying to save up all my brain power in case of emergancy.

Broccoli, full of vitamins and things that are good for you. After all, vitamins vitalize! The zombie that eats your brain will be energetic and slim. The ones that eat us will be slow and fat. All to soon the zombies will open health clubs serving people like yourself! literally! Most zombies, however, will go to the McDonald's on the corner.

Well yeah, everyone knows that the unhealthy stuff not only tastes better, but sadly, it's cheaper lately.

Wow, it so shows that you don't know me really lol.
I'm gonna buy a Wii console just to get the WiiFitness game to keep fit!
I've let myself go lol.

Somehow I doubt that.

But on a different note, if you do end up doing that Fred, let me know how it works. I was thinking of getting it for my mom & dad. My dad retired 2 years ago and since he stopped working I'm watching him go downhill and it scares me. I think something like this would be a fun way for them to keep moving.

Sadly, I know NOTHING about the Wii, I stopped with the video game systems at Playstation 2!

I've heard good things about it. Gives you a fitness program that’s adapted for your level of fitness. Aerobic exercises but also yoga stretchy type ones too. But can I afford the $500 after I've just spent $280 on Rock Band? It's not looking good :(

I can see where that's tough to justify. I figured it'd make a nice Christmas present for them and that's about what I would spend between the two of them.

I think anything that would get them moving is a good thing. (Big ole lump of crap that I've become isn't really one to talk though)

We are talking about your brain here Fred. We all think it's getting more exercise than ours. However, video games won't help you in that area:)

You never know, they can. He can play puzzle games and sharpen his mind as well.

Actually, intelligence alone is not an "active brain" make. The real useage of a brain is in it's capacity to do multiple things at once. Video games desensitize people to "life" things and to the relationship of morality to consequence. However, in the process of enhancing hand/eye coordination, it increases the brains ability to "process" information. Raw intelligence has nothing to do with it. It's about how many synaptic relays and neurons are firing and being whizzed from one side of the brain to the other. Remember, the average person is only using about 12% (or whatever number it is) of their brain. That's the "good stuff"; the rest of it is just candy.

Or so I've heard...

PS: I like candy; she was also good on stage.

I didn't think that they had made a long term link between video games and behaviour yet? Short term, yeah. LOL Bobo the Clown.
This Wii game makes you active though. You jog on the spot and the controller in your pocket (Wii controller, not the other one...) counts your jogs, gets you to 'run' a mile or so a session. Helps with your balance too etc etc.
Or I could just go jogging and save $500....

Anyway, I tend to take my brain off the hook when talking or posting as you can see lol.

Well, as far as jogging in real life as apposed to wii jogging... I can tell you this. The wii jogging will be alot safer. Old ladies are the worst. I'm running along and they never move over. Sometimes when they are staring at me they swerve at me! I hate them!! As far as zombies liking handicapped people. I say yes. Live brains = yummy brains. As far as my skinny ass? I'd probably be like beef jerky. Tough but oh so tasty. Hmm thats a little dirty. Oh I did 7.5 miles this week. Yea me!
