Fred,
Back to the I am legend rant. As you know I too liked the movie (at least in some part) I agree its difficult to have completely accurate translation between book and film. Fortunately for me I have the memory of a fruit fly. I saw the movie and knew it had changed from the book, I just couldn't put my finger on the differences. The same with Lord of the rings. The thing those two movies have in common for me is... I see them once and I never want to see them again. I tried with both. I fell asleep through lord, and was just bored with legend. I guess thats how I know if a movie really sticks with me.

I just bought a copy of Hardcore Zen by Brad Warner. It's a pretty good read. This guy went from Punk rock bands to Zen Buddhist Priest. A lot of what he talks about makes sense to me. Let me know if anyone is familiar with this guy.

Ploughing through a Dragonlance novel, not too good.
All Kinds of things Kill next! I wanna read them before I hear them. That way, I get the shock value first and then the different spin Mrs Best will put on it.

Thank you for saying that! I had a hard time and really struggled with World War Z. Everyone tells me how wonderful it is, but I just can't seem to get into it.

I loved World War Z as an Audiobook!! Sadly I don't get a lot of time to READ books but I can listen to them all day long mostly because my job doesn’t need my brain. I did take the time to read all of Rob's book but I am in the middle of like 6 others book and just don't have the time to open them. I am listening to the Two Minute Rule (it is pretty good) then back to The Lost World this will be number 33!

I find I'm sliding into the realm of audiobooks more and more and I don't like that I am. I enjoy reading and miss it greatly, but I don't have as much time as I used to.
